Industrial Receiver

K&K Metal Recycling has been in business in Minneapolis since 2006.

We are looking for an Industrial Receiver who will be responsible for all industrial receiving activities. This is largely a self-managed role with minimal oversight.

Duties and responsibilities include:

Receiving of raw materials.

Inspection, grading, weighing, and analyzing scrap metal products accurately.

Verifying quantity and quality of stock received from customers.

Inspecting scale for proper functioning and being aware of scale movement and activity to make sure is always operating at 100%.

Becoming familiar with customer’s preferences and materials.

Maintaining courteous and professional relationships with clients, customers, and public.

Understanding and following all safe practices, policies, and procedures.

Work daily and effectively to balance stress of multiple projects, conflicting priorities, substantial workload, environmental ambiguity and changing plans through self-management and productive communication with the management team regarding needs for support.

Other repairs and duties as requested or required by management.

Specific Requirements and Qualifications:

One (1) year receiving experience.

One (1) year forklift experience.

Ability to identify and analyze complex issues, problems and conflicts and to use independent judgment to make decisions.

Ability to remain flexible, resilient, calm, maintain a sense of humor and to regularly present a well-groomed, professional image.

Computer literate and proficiency with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.

Great work ethic and desire to learn.

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and meet the physical and mental requirements of the essential job functions.

Effectively communicate and understand job instructions in the English language. Spanish is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour – based on experience and skills
